Jason is a Keweenaw native,
born and raised in Chassell. He graduated from Michigan Tech in 2000
with a BS in Forestry. After graduation, Jason moved downstate and spent
4 years working as a forester for Maple Island Log Homes. During that
time, he also assisted in managing a 1600 acre deer ranch and a log
restoration company. Jason has a sound knowledge base of log home
construction, maintenance, and restoration. Jason always had hopes of
returning to the UP, and in 2004 he began working as a consulting
forester for Upper Michigan Land Management in Escanaba. His 8 years of
forestry experience have provided him with extensive knowledge of land
and wildlife management. He is also a state registered forester. Jason
recently relocated back to the Keweenaw to be closer to family. He
enjoys being back in his hometown and he looks forward to beginning his
career with Remax.
